saving my bank balance

I always need new tops I mean if there's never a single top you want you must have something majorly wrong but 3 tops for £7 I cant complain, primark you have saved my bank balance, I mean literally I was down to my last tenner; who ever though eBay was so expensive?! with a watch list 3 pages long I may have gone a little crazy, in a good way though.

I never ever shop in Primark but since my 'things I need to buy' list is extremely long and unhealthy at the minute eBay, Sales and Primark have been heaven- not exactly heaven, but close enough! I can never find clothes in Primark well actually I can never be bothered to look but the men's section is actually pretty cheap, I got the Kate Moss top for A QUID which is slightly ridiculous, I mean a quid I should have bought 10 and sold then on eBay and made a profit(oh gosh I actually should have done that). It was one of those buys where on the label it says £3.50 and when you arrive at the till its £1, I'm sure every shopper has experienced this before and if you haven't, well you don't shop enough! But seriously when this happens its the best feeling ever because its as if you've made money in a weird sort of way. So basically I saved £2.50, or made £2.50 because I was going to spend that. I got the other 2 tops for £3 each which I think is so cheap!! With these two tops I'm going to cut the sleeves of and cut down the side seam a bit so that I can wear them baggy and tucked into shorts! I also thing they will look really good if I buy some more lace cycling shorts but which are a bit longer and wear them over the top of them as a sort of t-shirt dress when the weather hot.

Lace cycling shorts.. something else added to my list of things I need, do you see what I mean? My list if forever growing. I may have to go back to Primark though because they have so many t-shirts which I can cut up to look good and I love how they all follow the grungy style in a weird way. I'm now waiting for a Cara Delevingne tee to come out I LOVE CARA DELEVINGNE!

I'm now away till Friday Camping with no internet connection(please kill me) and I will only have twitter on my phone till the battery runs out so yeah wish me look and see you all soon!

Denim shirt #Look1

Shirt- Hollister, Grey tee- Hollister (both prezzies from my mum and dad when they went to NYC)- so jealous! Shorts-Topshop Sale, Shoes-eBay, Rings-All eBay except the one on my left hand 4th finger(that's Topshop £1.50 sale!) Sunglasses- Ralph Lauren, the airport haha! 

I'm actually blogging!! It’s pretty much a miracle right? But no I am definitely going to get back into the spirit of blogging and blog a lot more often because its something which I love doing! 

I adore my denim shirt at the minute, like literally it goes with EVERYTHING, so I’ve decided to do a little piece on 3 different ways to wear it! The sun was out yesterday so I whacked out my new shorts (£9 in the sale) and this cute little grey tee, it has a gorgeous dark coloured cotton racer back, which I did take some pictures off but they didn't come out too well. This is a very causal look, not too much effort but it was great for sitting out in the sun yesterday. 

Now I have this thing for red nails at the moment- I’m like obsessed I just love them, I also love all my gold rings, I really hope I’m not turning chavy but I think there is something about the red and gold hand accessories which I think looks good? I don’t know I’m I going crazy? 

Also my hair isn’t looking too good recently, its it rubbish condition so I’m basically using no heat at all hence the frizzy all over the place look, but I'm having it done on Wednesday and I bought some hair masks today so hopefully it will be looking better soon!

How cool is my new jumper? I say new but I got it when I went down to London the other week, don't worry I haven't broke my spending ban(well actually I have) but not on this jumper as I was allowed to shop for the ONE day I went to London, yes my shopping life is sad :(! Yeah this jumper was a bit pricey at £45 but I don't really mind cause its so fit. It has these super cool cut outs on the elbows and chest and then white and black airtex mesh fabric- which I love. This is my new favourite piece for the 'Sports Wear' trend this season and i can wait to wear it more often!! And also you should all check out 'The Ragged Preist' clothing in Topshop.. ITS GORGEOUS I WANT IT ALL! The shorts are new too, I bought them about 5 days into my spending ban, no idea why i though it was a good idea to do some window shopping in Topshop but then I saw these beautys in the sale for £9.. £9!!! Iv been wanting just some black shorts for ages but was going to wait till summer to buy some but of course if there's some on sale(with black lace detail as well) I am obviously going to buy them, I felt bad of course, but then I though ACTUALLY NO... I've just saved my self like £27 because I was going to buy some black shorts in a few months anyway and by that time the full prices would have been back at like £36!

One more quick question... I love DIY'ing all my clothes and turning my old clothes into pieces which match the seasons trend so i though why not start selling some of my best pieces to you guys? I have some really good ideas in mind so if you would be interested in seeing them let me know and i might do some selling :)

This year i...

 -Went to the opening of the Olympic Stadium

-Dyed the ends of my hair dark purple (I barley have any photos of it :( )

-Went to London NW5 Studio's for a photo shoot for Teen Queen UK

-Went on a day trip with my friends to Cleethorps and enjoyed the windy weather, sand in our hair, and poor fish and chips, but it was such a good day! PS, abbie should be on this photo to :-)

-Experienced 'A Fashion Conversation' with Grace Woodward, The owner of London college of fashion, the m&s fashion buyer and a fashion clothing scientist, and then met grace after yay!

-Visited Camden Lock, possibly my favourite ever place in London, bought some lovely things in Camden market and enjoyed lovely food there!

-Qualified for English Schools Athletics so spent a few days living in Durham Uni accommodation and competing!

-Ate at a iconic Restaurant 'Sushi Samba' on the 37th floor over looking the whole of London!

-Had a day out at Thorpe Park and went on Saw and Slealth.. omg best rides EVER!!

-Went on holiday!

-STARTED MY FASHION BLOG!! This was my first ever banner aww :') my blog has changed so much in the space of a few months and thankyou so much to everyone reading, I'm so glad i started this :-)

-Had an AMAZING time at The Killers concert! BY far one of the best things in 2012!!!

-Went to the Clothes Show live with my bestfriends and had a fab girlie day out!

-Went to see Legally Blonde The Musical- ITS AMAZING! Best Musical ever!

- Had a lovely time at my bestfriends Dads wedding, ate yummy food and danced all night long

-and finally... I turned 16!!! I has such a wonderful birthday and got so many lovely presents :-)

Thankyou to everyone for a fab 2012 and i hope 2013 is just as good!!

MEADOWHALL LOCK IN! caitlin are you shopping again?!

Ahhhhhh hi everyone! I'm so excited about this post today as i still cant believe it my self, so yesterday evening at meadowhall(shopping centre in Sheffield if you didn't know) had a student lock down between 7-10 which basically means you get discount off hundreds of shops, and at the same time its like a massive party in meadowhall, its so amazing i loved it! At topshop theres 20% off everything so of course that's the very first place me and my friend went!  
As i only came to meadowhall with £30 and £8 on my card i was kind of limited but i was deffo taking advantage of the 20% off so i though ill just buy the 'karki green peplum top' from topshop because that's the only thing i 'need' and i wont resist to anything else. But of course that didn't happen cause as soon as i walked in the shop these shorts just like flew at me; no idea where they came from but there they was.. in my hand and i defiantly wasn't letting go of them, it was like fate! I then took a while looking round topshop and tbh it was really weird, all these clothes were ending up in my hands and i have no idea how?! I found this lovely denim shirt, this cute little cream speckled tee, a lovely little bralet, and of course the green peplum top(which i originally came for) all in my hands! Off to the changing rooms i went...

Now I'm thinking i only have £30 and i seriously want the shorts as I'm still yet to own a pair of 'MOTO topshop shorts' so i ask the assistant how much they are because they didn't have a tag and she said £32! omg dilemma dilemma! I can afford them with student discount but what about the green top i want?:( and i really wanted the cream speckled one to because I've had this fab idea to sew some cute badges onto the bottom corner of it! OMG ahhhhhh! Hmm well if i get the shorts and cream speckled top it comes to £36.80 with my student discout because the tops only £14! So i can pay £30 in cash and the £6.80 on my card; but then i don't have enough for my dinner, ohh well i don't mind missing food for clothes! Anyway about the green top it was a size 10 and fitted ok but, well lets face it any girl would feel happier with a size 8 in the back of their top even if no one knew so ill just save up for that another time. Right yes I'm sorted!
So off to the till i go and as I'm waiting theres all the lovely little nail varnish's sat staring at me :( NO CAITLIN CONTROL YOUR SELF(another thing I'm now saving up for)! So anyway she scans the top and types in the bar code for the shorts, i show her my student discount and she then says '£16.80 please' I'M LIKE WHAAA?' shes like £16.80, so I'm like well okay!!!
I pay her with like the hugest grin of my face ever and then walk away and look at the receipt, The shorts came up for £7.. yes £7! I COULD NOT BELIEVE IT!
I was soooo happy i mean £16.80 for a top and shorts, wahooooo I'm no longer in debt :)
The lovely lady also gave my this adorable topshop tote bag which i love to pieces, its so cute!

I also got a cute topshop carrier bag which makes a change from the white and red ones, and i still have my pink meadowhall lock in wrist band on as i think its giving me luck! Ill be keeping it on for a while :)
Look out for lots of outfit posts, and maybe a DIY for my speckled top if i can find some badges and hopefully the green karki peplum top will be mine soon, teheheheh I'm shopping obsessed!
